The farmer's market at Whole Foods is in a rather fancy shopping center. I brought my camera since it is "The Fountains" and I thought I would get some watery shots along with my local produce and meat.

The shadows were as good as the water shots.

They had some very interesting benches.

And since it is the Fountains I caught some wet shadows as well.
I absolutely love that last shot!!! Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteThe shadows of these metallic butterflies are wonderful, The shapes leave nice shadows, the shapes of imagination. The shadows fall so nicely on the textured sidewalk, the light being altered a bit to make complexity of the wings even better. all nice!
ReplyDeleteThose benches are unique, and they cast interesting shadows, as well!
ReplyDeleteRuneE at visualnorway.blogspot.com has an informal bench meme each Friday you might find interesting.
Happy SSS.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures-my favorite is the fountain.
Hi Martha, I visited the Monarch Sanctuary at Pacific Grove a couple years ago - they had a bench just like the ones you "shadowed." Love the water droplet shadows, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love all your shadow shots today, Martha -- not that that's unusual. I particularly love the fountain and water drops, perfect! Terrific!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Sylvia
The leaf and butterfly benches are so pretty and so are their shadows. Looks like you were there at just the right time!
ReplyDeleteI love it when boring things are made more fun like those benches. Your water shot is great!
ReplyDeleteNice benches!! ...and lovely lacey shadows - the water dropplets are my fave though!

The benches!!! Pure art, and the shadows, offcause.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all the shadows BUT the benches were my favorites! Butterfly benches! How unique. I am going to link your post to my bench blog -- maybe my friend in France will drop by to see it too. Thank you, thank you , thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe chairs look ready to take flight!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite is The Wet Shadows! Lovely shadows!
ReplyDeleteLove the artistic curves of the butterfly shadows.
ReplyDeleteP.S. If I did not drive to Big Bear that day (Dia de los Muertos 10-24) I would have gone to the festival. I have seen a lot of beautiful pictures in flickr.. It was open until 11pm, I still could have made it. When I got there in the morning, only big items were left and all graveside decors were gone. It would have been an experience for me, until next yeart.
These give off some very interesting shadows indeed!!
ReplyDeleteI want one of the metallic butterflies bench - In my garden! Nice with the shadow, MB
