Rain, Wind--Watery Wednesday

I'm a bit late this week, I've been trying to catch the feeling of this storm.
Rain
Wind
The creek is up. It's not the prettiest little creek but I like living near it and it is our gauge of how much rain we're having.
Floods alternating with drought, is that what global warming will mean for us all? I hear they had balmy (for them) weather in the arctic while folks in the US and Europe had record cold.
See more water sights at Watery Wednesday, hosted by 2sweetnsaxy.

  4. We have storm watch too, and its a bit nasty everywhere. Although I did not hear any rain and thunder last night, sound asleep I guess.
The wind chime would be music to my ear.

P.S. Please let me know when you come visit Michael, we can meet up somewhere in the Valley, maybe at the Japanese Garden or Lake Balboa, the sakura might be blooming now.

  8. Martha, what a great blog you have! That picture showing the wind is remarkable. Reminded me of the old nursery rhyme "who has seen the wind?" ... I feel like I have after looking at your picture.
Very impressed that you tried rappeling too! Way to go. (And a lovely story about how it happened). Thanks for visiting FT-L

  10. I can "see" the wind in those chimes, Martha. You're lucky to live by a little creek. I've been watching your storm on TV - thinking of you and Ebie.

  11. I hope you make it through this next storm. We are expecting your next storm tomorrow. Please post more photos after this next storm. I would love to see how much bigger your creek has grown.

  12. We have been balmy here in Seattle - 60 yesterday. We're enjoying a break from the rain while someone else gets dumped on. I guess it's you!

  17. Well done ;-)
Like Carolyn I'm actually enjoying the wet weather though I did find driving home from getting my hair cut yesterday in Long Beach yesterday (with strong winds and heavy rain) a bit unnerving and I'm glad to stay home today.
    Hugs and blessings,

  18. Just about any creek that has water flowing in it is pretty to me. I love the colors and materials of the wind chimes, looks like glass and wood.

  19. It is odd how our weather has changed, I can't remember the last time all our ice and snow melted away in mid January in Chicago!
