It is a wonderful canvas! Minus the winter cold of the North, we can more fully enjoy the beauty of the fallen, frozen precipitation. THe evergreens are profiled beautifully, the snow so brilliant as it is closer to the sun. Nice!
I don't envy the snow, that's for sure, but it does provide a perfect backdrop for gorgeous shadow shots and you caught a perfect shadow on the perfect backdrop! Lovely! Hope you have a Happy Memorial Day, Martha!
Beautiful lacy shadows! You don't live up that high though do you? I like snow if it is within an easy drive, but not in my driveway. (At least I used to -- it's been a while since we spent a Winter anywhere near that white stuff.)
Beautiful, but I rather enjoy watching it melt into those beautiful streams and falls of Yosemite...the sunset below is just breathtaking. We've been having picture perfect weather here in Iowa of late, I've never had such HUGE strawberries...bummer huh...ha!
Years since last I saw that much snow...sigh... it didn't even rain for more than half an hour since spring over here. Thank you for this small escape. Please have you all a nice Sunday.
Martha - I'm in Moab and have been seeing snow on the high peaks. We'll be home tomorrow - I hope your shadow shot is not a forecast of what's in store for me!
We still have some patches of snow in the forests at 8800 ft.

Wow, snow and shadows what a great combination.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish we had snow in Winter, instead of continual rain.

it's a bit chilly here today - but at least we don't have snow!! Lovely crisp shadows!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful canvas, indeed. But for right now, I'd like my shadows cast on warm earth!
ReplyDeleteLove the Yosemite header photo!
It's so hot here right now that I'd welcome a trip to the snow. I love how crisp the shadows on the white are.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Yo think I would have missed all these favorite snow scenes if I weren't playing "catch up."
