Watery Wednesday

What to do when winter weather is getting you down. You can go to New Zealand, or to the South West US, or you can go to Hawaii.
We stayed an extra day after a hiking oriented Elderhostel in Hawaii in February 2008.
We kayaked up the Wailua river then hiked to Secret Falls where I indulged a fantasy and swam across a pool to stand behind a waterfall. Another couple who had extended their stay joined me. Hubby passed on the swim and took pictures instead.

See more watery sights at Watery Wednesday, hosted for us by 2sweetnsaxy.

We did the same kayak trip and shower! It was the summer of 2002...I can't believe it's been that long ago. But, we had a blast slipping around on the muddy trails and finally reaching the falls for a good soaking. I love your photos! Brings back memories.

Great fun and adventure! When I think of fantasy, I'd like it to be a "fountain of youth'!

P.S. It will be partly sunny and cloud till the weekend.

So fun. You've had a lot of great Elderhostel adventures. We're contemplating an adventure this summer or next. Of course, adventures happen every day.
