Some high clouds captured from the base of Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite.

I'm home from a busy two weeks of travel in the Sierra. Now I must sort through more than 600 shots of Mammoth Lakes, the area around Sonora Pass, Bodie State Park, Mono Lake and Yosemite. I hope in all of that there will be something worthwhile to share with you.

gorgeous! i love your crisp photography.
If you squint a bit, the clouds look like bridal veils, too. Lovely Yosemite. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Lovely sky photo. It is a reminder how small we are in the big picture. Thanks for sharing.
Very dramatic. I love the light on the face of the cliff.
Nice sky. I'm sure you'll have loads more to share with us. Like the new header. Mono Lake?
And lovely our portion of those two weeks were as well. We are headed home today after a couple of days of grandchild (and his parents) and long lost relatives.
I had to stop in for my weekly dose of Martha even though I'm not posting on SWF this week. As usual, I was well-rewarded. You've managed a non-traditional shot of a very popular venue, and once again pushed the nostalgia button. Happy weekend!
Absolutely stunning and taken at a great angle.
One of your best ever.
Please have you all a good weekend.

I love the lighting and the soft layer of clouds. Your header image is gorgeous too!
Beautiful skies! I am looking forward to seeing more the Sierra.
Eagerly awaiting your trip update -- glad you had a good time. You have so many great places to visit within a relatively short travel time. You're in a great spot!
Beautiful photo! After visiting all that Sierra beauty, I'm sure you'll have months worth of photos to share.
Wonderful capture. Taken from a great angle. It makes you feel so small.
