Blue Sky and Shadows at Mission San Francisco de Solano

I couldn't decide if this was a sky shot or a shadow shot so this week it will be my entry for both.

You can find more views of the sky at SkyWatch Friday, hosted for us by Klaus, Sandy, Wren and Sylvia.
More shadows are yours at Shadow Shot Sunday, hosted by Tracy at Hey Harriet.

I love the look of the old missions. Beautiful blue sky, too.

I just love the California missions and have visited so many of them as a child. Sadly, I have never been to the San Francisco mission.

Hehe! Sometimes it IS hard to decide, I agree! I LOVE the pure blue sky. And when I enlarged the photo I discovered the true beauty of the shadow. :)

Love the contrast between the building and the crystal blue sky. Nicely captured indeed.

The pure blue sky is a wonderful contract to the mission. I really like the cross and the bell .... I really like missions! I have to visit them any time I see one.

It's pretty no matter what it counts as! I've often wanted to travel around California just taking pictures of mission architecture. I don't remember ever having seen this one--thanks for posting it.

Hope you don't mind that I linked your September post on Mono Lake; for some reason I don't have any digital versions, and no scanner handy--but you've got several nice shots on that page.

It took me a minute to see the shadow. I kept looking and asking myself "where's the shadow". I found the shadow. I wanted to mention the sky too. It is such a gorgeous blue color! The photograph belongs in both memes!

To this New Englander, this is the classic look of the southwest. From the stucco to the red tile roof, is is beautiful. The sky is glorious, the cross on the peak brilliant. Nice!

I love seeing the beautiful old missions as well. I've never seen one in person!

I understand what you mean about a photo being perfect for two memes!

Gorgeous sky and cool shadow.

Have a nice Sunday!
