Mathat - that's so pretty. The clouds were that color last night on our drive home from grocery shopping but there was too much traffic and too many wires in the way.
Thanks for the comment on my grevillea Martha. There is a good reason for grevileas to have prickly leaves, it is so that predator birds cannot follow the little bids into the thickets and thus their nests have some protection. There are also some grevilleas with soft leaves. They come in sizes from ground-covers to this very large and stately tree.
That is a terrific reflection...love the colors. It looks like a "water color" painting. Happy new year to you and have fun with lots of photography in 2011...
Such lovely reflections, as always, Martha! Enjoy your New Year!

Beautifully composed, Martha - the grassy silhouette is the perfect foil for the clouds in the water.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty reflection.
ReplyDeleteThat photo could be turned upside down and no one would know the difference how you originally took it. Just gorgeous colors! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Martha! I often see pink in the sky, but not reflected in water. I like the contrast with dark grass too.
ReplyDeleteThis photo is so amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me today.
That is such a lovely shot - the reflection of the sky in the water there is just magic! Happy New Year and all the best for 2011!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pink reflections -- I can gaze at that kind of thing for ages and not get bored. Lovely Christmas skies in the post below as well.
ReplyDeleteNice colours in the sky.

What a lovely shot!
ReplyDeleteAnd actually, our wood pile was frozen together. The first storm we had turned to rain, now it's below zero. Gotta love winter.
