You have such a unique take on things; such a pleasure -- it looks like a sculpture against the sky, really draws your eye up. And there is something about a blue sky after some grey days that is super special. (People down here really miss that feeling!)

My grandfather used to run the LADPW plant at Cottonwood, and that's probably why I look at electric insulators with a certain amount of fondness. I even got the Beloved Spouse to remove some of the old ones left from the original knob and tube wiring in our house, so that I could put them to some use or other (still haven't done so, though). My grandmother made a planter out of one from the power plant, and I still use it for a Christmas cactus. I'm not sure what the ones you show could be used for once they're discarded, but I do love the shot!
