Watching from the Shadows--Shadow Shot

I was thinning the nectarines in this tree when this little goldfinch flew from her nest. No more thinning for now, I'll leave her in peace.

There are more shadows to be found at Hey Harriet, hosted by Tracy in Brisbane.

Bless you for leaving the tree unprunned to be the home to this goldfinch.

Looks like the Mother bird is snug in there! Are you in LA this weekend? I thought of you.

Ohhhhh! What a great natural shot. thank you for sharing and (on behalf of the goldfinch) for not finishing your garden chore. What a great excuse to quit work early ;>)

Way cool! I've been trying to get a glimpse of what is happening in the nest in our tree, but have been unsuccessful even finding the nest again among the leaves.
