At Yosemite Falls a group of people were looking up. That's not unusual, it is a beautiful sight. It wasn't the majestic fall that had caught there eye, though.
Someone was walking a slack line above the fall!
Here is a closer look. The walker has a safety line that keeps him or her from plunnging over the fall in case of a loss of balance.
Later after the sun had set the clouds above the fall blazed with gold and orange.

Some people are plum crazy, but imagine the view.
I especially like your sunset view.
Great photos, Martha! What an amazing capture of that wire-walker. I am nervous just seeing the pictures! Your sunset shot is gorgeous also.
An amazing capture indeed! And, yes, makes me nervous just looking at it, too! The sunset over the waterfall is absolutely breathtaking! Have a great weekend, Martha!

I'd be terrified watching the person walking the aerial line, even knowing he has a safety line.
Great photos! The sunset is gorgeous.
Wonderful and amazing pictures! I do not use slak line, but I would love to try that in these mountain. Really great photos!!
Wish you a nice weekend:-)
Some people are just plain nuts!
I love the sunset shot of the falls!!! The colours are wonderful!
OMG, is that line always there? Never seen it nor heard of it before.
Fantastic post.
Wow,
chi è il pazzo che percorre la corda nel vuoto ???
Fantastica foto !!
Buona giornata.
Fantastic views and I admire the rope walker's courage. That looks like great fun to me but there's no way I would have the balance for that at this point in my life.
WOW! That must have need so lot of concentration! It's risky and the person is a real dare devil...

The line was gone by the end of the day. I asked a ranger and was told it is a popular sport and no permit is required. I think they have to remove all of their equipment just as the climbers do.
Beautiful shots. I feel nervous too looking at the photos. Love the last photo the most.
Have a great weekend.
Spectacular shots. Safety line or no, that is a thrill. The last two shots are wonderful.
Wow! Great photos Martha!!
Wow, what a fantastic capture. It looks scary. The last shot is beautiful, love the pretty color and the scenery.
Hmmm, even the safety line doesn't make me feel comfortable. LOL I am soooo afraid of heights it's pathetic!
Good grief! Just looking at that made my heart go up to my throat. At least s/he had a safety line. Stunning pictures, even -- or especially -- the last. Who needs to do crazy things when nature is so beautiful by itself.
Scary and but such an awesome adventure!
Amazing captures Martha.
Happy SWF weekend.
Fantastic captures! Not sure I could have watched had I been there. :0
Breathtaking pictures! Thanks for sharing!
Amen.
What a wonderful moment, shrinking life to its real and important size, kept up high by faith and trust in oneself. Wishing to have that much courage though. A great start into the weekend.
