A Glorious Sunrise

Some mornings you just have to get up, get dressed and grab the camera.

You can find more views of the sky at SkyWatch Friday, hosted for us by Klaus, Sandy, Wren and Sylvia.

Wear cute jammies, because some days there just isn't time to get dressed!

Beautiful, beautiful colors.

Fantastic, one of the nicest sunrises I've seen. I like how the blue sky is still visible and tempers the more dramatic colors.

Glorious is the right word for a view like that.

Too funny Clair's suggestion to always wear cutie jammies, you never know when the call will come for great photos like that.

Enjoyed your last post with the chatting gulls, cute.

Molto bello questo effetto arancio di questa tuo tramonto.
Mi piace molto questo color così acceso :)

That is adeep deep red.
Almost as if a volcano erupted somewhere on the planet.
Dramatic like a Spanish flamenco dance.

Breathtaking! You know it's going to be a great day when you wake up to such beauty....even if the sailors take warning. :o)

I was thinking the same thing as Clairz - for a sky like this, you might forget to get dressed, or skip getting dressed for fear of missing it.

Martha, you get dressed and grab the camera??? I just grab a dressing gown and am out the door.
I'd be afraid to miss a moment of a wonder of a sunrise like that!

Happy days my friend.

That is very beautiful! And I'll bet the saying was true, "red in the morning, sailors take warning".

Nice way to start the day. Lovely colors in the sky. It has been very gray in the Midwest this week.
