After a Storm

We have been having unusually stormy weather lately, but the clouds cleared enough for a walk and some pictures before the rain returned.
The flower is Dichelostemma multiflorum, called "wild hyacinth" though other plants go by this name elsewhere.

See more sky views at SkyWatch Friday, hosted for us by Klaus, Sandy, Wren and Sylvia.

I think skies like these look even more gorgeous when you've had mostly stormy, gray ones! A gorgeous capture, Martha, and I know it was a welcome sight! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Fantastic viewpoint.

It isn't stormy here, but we've had a steady rain most of the past two months.

We're experiencing dreary weather with occasional pretty breaks too. The clouds in this photo look amazingly similar to those outside my window right now. Those purplish flowers look interesting. Do you know what they are? They must be wildflower peculiar to the West as I don't think I have ever seen them before.

The sky is always big after some stormy rains. That's what's happening here in the southland.

Nice composition.

Hi there - I always like big towering storm clouds, and the low angle is a nice change of view.

Splendid.
