Manzanar Shadow

We visited Manzanar at mid-day, just after Memorial Day. There were few shadows at that time of day but at the entrance to the cemetery, this stone with its memorial gifts, cast a shadow and caught my eye.

For more shadows check out Hey Harriet.

I have passed Manzanar many times...next time we must stop and visit. Your "memorial rock" is a meaningful SSS post.

Amazing isn't it! Life in another form finds a way to get your attention. Makes you stop and think! Blessings!

I don't think I've ever been to Manzanar, but I'm impressed with the 'gifts' left by visitors and enjoyed your memorial rock shadows. Thanks for visiting mine at Happily Retired Gal.
Hugs and blessings,

Yes, I see that the shadow tells a story of high Noon.

I like the shadow but I probably would have gathered up the coins and taken them with me.

Somewhere I have a picture of memorial gifts at the entrance to an outdoor labyrinth. Mostly they were ordinary stones, but there were also bottle caps, cigarette lighters, and other evidence of convenient, spontaneous giving. I left a small, polished amethyst that I always carry in my pocket.

Thanks for visiting my shadow shot and commenting! You have a really nice photo journal of your outdoor experiences!
