Cabin in White

A cabin neighbor sent these photos of our cabin that he took the end of April.
You can see from all the snow on the deck why we take down the railing, one way or the other it will come down.
After visiting with our son Eric and his family in LA we hope to go check it out for ourselves.
I am hoping that most of this will be gone. Usually by Memorial Day there is just patchy snow but with all the spring storms we've had this year I'm not sure what we will find.

Hard to believe there's still so much snow! Hope you have a great visit with Eric and his family and also hope when you get to your cabin there won't be this much snow!! Enjoy the day!

You might have a mountain visit this spring that is a bit different from other years! Wow! Look at the snow...better take your warm jackets! Your "cabin" looks like a very nice home!

I like how you say that one way or the other the deck railing comes down. The cabin sure does look pretty in white, but it is surprising to see so much snow in late April. You will have to give us a report on what you find.

Amazing to me that there was that much snow in April. Smart idea to take the railing down.

What a beautiful setting for a cabin in the woods. Yet I'm glad not have quite so much snow here right now. Safe journey.

Your cabin must be at a fairly high elevation! I don't think I'd want to face snow next weekend. LOL

That's a lot of snow on the deck for the end of April. Hope it's been doing some melting in the last month.

Martha - your cabin looks like my house in April. (Let's hope we both find the snow gone later in the week!) Glad you're having a good visit with your Family.

It will still be very early spring in the high country. I hope you have a chance for a hike and maybe see some early flowers.
