Shadows in a Parking Garage

We try to bundle errands, Hubby and I.  Sometime this leaves one of us killing time.
In anticipation of this I brought my camera to hunt photos while Hubby was being measured for new lenses prior to cataract surgery.
The parking structure proved to be a good source for shadows.
I got my photos, Hubby got his measurements and we went on to do my errands saving the half gallon of gas that would have been required to each go separately.

There are more shadows to be found at Shadow Shot Sunday,  hosted by Tracy in Brisbane.

Sharp shadows in the searing heat - it's good to find shade on such days.

All are fascinating, especially the last one where the railing shadows form an upside down heart shape.

It does make a difference when you combine errands, doesn't it? And besides, look at the great shadows you got! Definitely worthwhile! I love the bright yellow color and the last shot is fascinating! Hope you have a great weekend! Stay cool!

Practicality rocks!
Beautiful shots...

I have moved to WordPress!
I hope to see you there.
Next week I'll be back on track and post a 'normal' SSS post.

Sunny greetings from Casa!

The commercial and non-descript parking structure is totally utilitarian. Yet, well defined shadows are not at all mundane, but stylish angular artistry. Nice capture!

These shots are symmetrical beauties. I would never have even thought of shadow shots in a parking garage. Very creative and well done.

You found some very interesting shadows. It pays to have a camera handy always just in case you see something.

Intriguing shadows . Bill and I try to bundle our trips to town too -- we used to *have* to, b/c I didn't drive the Freightliner. But now that I can drive, we still try to do everything on one day a week. (But we'll use our share of gas when we get back on the road.)

Those are very cool looking shadows, like the jail house bars.

Good idea to "bundle" the chores.
