I saw this little guy feeding in the Stanislaus River.
Never still, he dives and swims in the water and bobs up and down while on land. It makes it challanging for the photograper.
Also known as a water ouzel he is fun to watch.

I love to watch the dippers bounce and walk under water. You did great to catch these constant movers.
I've actually seen these birds at altitude here in CO, Martha. They are like little divers!
Nice shots. Birds are hard for me. I'm not patient enough. :-)

Great shots of someone so very mobile.
I'd like to learn more about birding. One day I shall go to the Sepulveda Dam and see I can find.
One bird specie I learn today.
Great dipper.

I know this bird and I can't believe you got such a good picture of it. This is one of the birds I can't believe can stay alive -- surely they use more energy always moving than they ever take in!
Great photo of a bird always diving & swimming :-)
That is cool. I don't think I've ever seen a bird go in such fast moving water.
Looks like you met the challenge!
Great shot. I love watching birds or animals too. They work hard don't you think? Happy Wednesday!
