So this is a Green Heron! I've never seen one. My daughter talks about having a lot of them where she lives in MN. Great shots of them Martha! I'm trying to catch up on a few posts. My internet connection has been bad but I think they have it fixed now...
Those babies are adorable. We don't have green herons around here, I don't think--just white ones, Great Blues, and Cattle Egrets. I saw something smaller fly over the other day, but couldn't get the binocs out fast enough to figure out what it was. It'd be lovely to go out for a walk and see something besides a cowbird or a grackle . . .

wow, that is fantastic, two odd looking balls of fluff. Wonders of wonders!
You got lucky! it is always good to have that camera handy. You took good photos of the Green Heron. The birdies look cute.
What a wonderful sighting! I have only seen a green heron once in the wild, and never young ones.
What a treat, indeed! Beautiful green heron picture, and those babies are probably the cutest things I'll see all day.

What a surprise - and a prize! I've never seen the Green Heron, let alone a fledgling.
