Shadows of Sonoma Coast

The sun did shine during our trip to the coast and made some interesting shadows.
The cypress cast shadows in the campground at Bodega Dunes Campground.
Smaller plants, too are casting shadows on the dunes.
At Goat Rock Beach I saw the remains of what seems to be an old railroad casting shadows on the beach.
To see more shadows check out HeyHarriet.

I like these shadows...especially the ones of the beach vegetation...makes me think of happy days jumping in the sand dunes when I was a kid.

Nice shadow shots. In the last one, I like how the shadows reveal the bumpy contours of the sand.

Happy SSS! Thanks for visiting my blog.

I LOVE the old rails at the beach, what an interesting find. I'd love to find out the story behind them, wouldn't you?

Beautiful scenery and wildflowers - I love your part of the country, though the thought of earthquakes and the St Andreas fault make me a little uneasy.
