A few years ago, Hubby and I went to a photography Elderhostel on Jekyll Island, Georgia .
Our instructor encouraged us to get up early to photograph the sunrise.
For more shadows go to HeyHarriet.
We are off to visit some of the California State Parks on the North coast before the Governor closes them indefinitely. He has little choice, the people are unwilling or unable to pay more taxes. The elderly, disabled, poor and state workers are taking a huge hit. I can't complain too much about losing the parks. It will mean more out of work and a loss of income to the nearby communities.
I left some posts but no Mr. Linky until I get back.

Have a nice week!
Excellent shadow shots this week! :-)
I love beach shadows too, and the first one took my breath away. I've been to Jekyll Island, such a lovely place and how fun to take a photo class! Happy SSS! Enjoy your week!
Your shadow shots have made me homesick. I moved from New Zealand to Utah about 7 years ago and I miss the beach and the ocean.
You not only captured beautiful shots, but stirred lovely memories for me. Thanks!
What a lovely set of beach shadow images. I've been noticing shadows more since you started posting shadow shots on your blog. It's like a whole new way of seeing.
Those are beautiful photos Martha. I love shadow pics.
early morning light is wonderful
love your photos!!
BEAUTIFUL! The light coming through the shell is particularly fantastic!
Hi Martha,
Late reading your posts because we had the Grands for several days. Boy! I'm tired tonight! Love these shadow shots. Hope you get to visit the Nat'l Seashore at Inverness when you head north. That is such a beautiful place. Safe travels.
That second shot is most intriguing. With the shadow it looks like a fish.
Lovely photos and great advice from your instructor. Sorry to hear about your state parks. Ours in Arizona almost closed but we must have had enough outcry that they ended up closing them certain days of the week and limiting hours instead. Better than no access at all. Good luck with yours!
