Wet Shadow

I hiked with friends up towards Duck Pass in the Mammoth Lakes area.  As usual I was on the lookout for shadows.  I found this one at Skelton Lake.
Where is this?  The link will bring up a map.

There are more shadows to be found at the Shadow Shot Sunday meme, hosted for us by Tracey in Brisbane.

Really nice--love the interplay of shadows and reflections.

Looks dramatic! Very crispy due to the sunny day.

You still have hot days? Well, California? §;-)

I love the crooked shape of the shadow. And I would like to walk in the water, looks so calm.

A wonderful picture indeed. Should be framed and placed on a wall.

Please have a good Sunday you all.

And what a super shadow this time! I also love the ripples of the water. . .

I haven't resolved my camera problem yet but I have started a new blog here:

Beautiful! Interesting that the shadow looks curvier than the branch.

The log looks quite what it is, a log shaped by the water. However, the shadow has an almost human form, and quite curvaceous. A lovely shadow, indeed!

Nice sighting and good composition. Almost snake like.

Agree so much with Diane AZ, the shadow looks completely different from the log - from the camera's perspective. Great photo!

Interesting shadow. I like how the branch and its shadow have a little bit different shape.

That's just perfect -- really shows what the area is like and the photo is just exactly right in every detail.
