Martha -- you alread know how much we love Joshua Tree and this desert area in CA. Beautiful pictures; thanks for sharing. I was sad that we didn't get to see the desert bloom this time through; the ocotillia looks like it is about to burst out any minute.

Absolutely gorgeous!! Fantastic shots, Martha! And such vivid blue skies!! Isn't it wonderful to see them -- well, you've probably had considerably more than we have here, but we do have them today and it is wonderful! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Those deep blue skies almost make me homesick. Must have had some rain for the ocotillo to bloom. Love Joshua Tree and Anza-Berego.

Your sky is so blue and the plant looks so in need of a good downpour of rain which is not going to happen soon. Nice shots.

the second one with the closeup is a great compositon with the "thing" in one corner

Just lovely Martha...that feeling of reaching and opening is the essence of early spring for me.

Very beautiful! I love seeing the ocotillo in bloom. I am not familiar with the blossom in the second photo, but it is magnificent.
