Carrizo Plain. This has been another drought year and the rangers say the bloom is poor. Many species did not bloom this year. Just think of what it would be like in a good year.For a more in depth look at this area, please see posts before and after this one.

The Buck brush and different colors on the rock formations at Pinnacles are so lovely. And, the gigantic condor, all those water birds, and Carrizo Plain covered with blooms...I'm overwhelmed!
nothing as beautiful as the california coastline and the valleys of the coastal range...just the best.
moro rock brings back memories of camping out nearby...many, many moons ago.

I must go here sometime. I have a huge thing for wildflowers--field of them. I love to take pictures of my girls in such places, but they are not abundant.
