Daffodil Hill--My World

Since it is March, I thought I'd dig into my archives and show you some pictures of Daffodil Hill.
This is a non-commercial spot in Amador county that is only open for a few weeks in the spring.
The family that owns the property has been planting daffodils for generations and when 25% of the bulbs are up and blooming they open it to the public until the blooms are mostly faded.
Not real big or fancy it has an old fashioned charm, especially for the photographer.
Pea fowl roam the grounds.
Red bud and fruit trees bloom.
Bulbs are planted in cast off containers.

Rusty old equipment adds to the charm.
See more sights of the world at My World Tuesday, hosted for us each week by Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and Sylvia.

Oh, such delightful daffodils... Winter still has us in its grip and it would be nice to see some flowers soon-ish.

I'll bet it is magnificent when everything is blooming. These are great "teaser" photos and now I want to see it in person. I love your landscape shot that is immediately below the peacock.

What a delightful place that I never knew existed. In the last image, I love the contrast of the spring plants with the rusty old farm equipment.

Just the kind of place I love to find. I love the daffodils on the slope. I can only imagine what it looks like in full bloom.

@Wolynski
It is my understanding that it is a small ranch and they raise sheep on the land.

Oh beautiful place Martha. You live in a real paradise! I love finding places like this, where people do beautiful things for the love of it! And then share them with others.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

PS: on your comment on FT-L, it really IS much more fun to travel now when there is no particular timeline. that has been a real plus for us in our old(er) ;>) age.
