I was out with the wide-angle lens, searching for panoramic shots. I glanced up and what did I see, a bald eagle soaring much too high for the lens on my camera. Oh well, I still like the shot. By the time I got back to the car for my telephoto lens he was up so high I could hardly see him.

It's a good reminder shot anyway. That blue sky is Brilliant.
I want a camera with lenses, but think it a drag to have to carry them around and change them. Maybe I better stick to the camera I have and learn to use it. I'm back to auto mode so my pics aren't so dark.
Gorgeous skies and what a perfect exclamation point the eagle is! I love it! And, yes, it is great reminder shot! Hope you have a great weekend!

What a grand blue sky he's flying in. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
It was a good catch and the experience is worth many memories.
Nice! You catch him closer next time:-)
a magnificent image of freedom Martha!
Still a great catch!
Great shot and catch!
What a wonderful bly sky and a good catch here.
I envy your blue sky, it's gorgeous!
The eagle was in the perfect place at the right time for this gorgeous photo, Martha. I love the deep blue sky, but it wouldn't have been the same without the eagle.

Good for you, Martha. I tried to get a shot like this once (just a hawk, not an eagle) and ended up with a lovely but empty blue sky.
That is a pretty good one. Love the blue sky!

You can tell it is an eagle; good shot!
It's still a beautiful shot of him!! That's one bird I'll never see.
What a beautiful shot. I haven't seen a bald eagle in ages.
I like the shot too and what a sky to watch an eagle fly in.
The sky is beautiful -- I thought about adding Skywatch to my eagle shots (uncropped) but the sky wasn't very interesting. Just bright blue, no clouds (could have been a blue piece of paper). Yours has character.
We had a big wind/rainstorm this morning. Little bit of the big storm that hit up north.
A shot of an eagle is a shot of an eagle--most impressive. Have a nice weekend. Mickie
I wish I have a camera like yours. This morning, driving to work, I saw a hot air balloon far away. I didn't bother to take a photo, because my cameras wasn't good enough.
Deep, beautiful blue!

Beautiful blue sky and a great eagle sighting. What could be better than that. Happy skywatching!
It's always great to see an eagle! Keep that zoom lens closer.
