Some dove right off.
The bungees are matched to the weight of the jumper so they just hit the water, at least that's the theory.
They bounce a few times.
Then they climb down a pole into the waiting boat.
Some were more reluctant. We weren't sure this girl was going to do it.
She did though and once launched see seemed to enjoy herself.
It looks like she is smiling.
None of our group of senior citizens gave it a try. Actually, I don't think our minders would have allowed us, but it was fun to watch.

Exciting action photos ;-)
My nephew thinks bungee jumping is great fun but to me it's just plain SCARY ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
It looks like fun on pix, but this is one activity I'd rather photograph than participate in.
NZ must be a delightful place to visit.
OMG! I couldn't do it for any amount of $! But, I'd be standing there beside you with my camera all focused and ready to shoot! These are amazing!
Well, it's great to watch but I would never try it myself. Great shots!
Martha - Again you fooled me - I thought you had taken the plunge! I,too, love that last shot.
*THIS* is why I have a camera! :-)Great shots, like the last one best.
Now that looks like fun, great shots Martha!
All the best

Oh wow, those are great action shots Martha. No way would I be able to do that but I admire those who can.
What a wonderful serial of pictures. If allowed I'd like to give it a try as well, however assume that wife/child are pretty much against.
Please have a wonderful Wednesday.
That looks fun. I'm mean taking the pictures of the jumpers. :) Great shots!
I guess, they all had fun, yes, you will enjoy just to watch... You perfectly took the photos, it's so nice.

Great action shots!
I'd never be brave enough to do that, but it's fun to watch others give it a try.
OMG! I was not wearing my glasses and I thought it was you!
That's a great splash!
Those are some very brave (crazy) people :) The shots are excellent perfect for the watery wed. Happy New Year!
Nope, not for me.
The girl looks pretty happy after she jumped.
Great action shots! I'm not brave enough to try it, though.
"none of our group of senior citizens gave it a try" - I so smiled at that!!
Great action shots!
Great shots. It looks like a great fun. But I dont like to give it a try. It is so scary for me.. :)
I wondered if I was going to read about you bungee jumping! It's not something I've had the courage to try, but I admire the ones who do.
That looks like so much fun! I'd like to try it, but of course I don't know if I will ever actually jump once I'm at the top.
Happy Watery Wednesday and Happy New Year too!
Hello Martha. Wow cool! love to try it someday:).
Great shots!
Regards.
I know I could never do it!
Sitting hear it looks like fun.. Climbing up, standing on the platform.. I would not be able to do it.. Great pics.. I love the last one.
Cool set of photos, the bungee jumping looks pretty scary to me.
oh, my husband did that 2008 in Auckland! I could nor would never jump!

Never, never i'll do things like that!

My two nieces jumped from the same spot recently, and my daughters had done it too.

y elder daughter jumped at Rotorua.
Your photos are great.
These are amazing shots! It does look like lots of fun, but I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to try it. Maybe if you pushed me off the platform.:)
Well it does look like fun, but I think I'll pass.
When I was in New Zealand years ago I saw them bungee jump from this bridge except it was winter there and the water was freezing. These pictures are amazing though, capturing the moments as they happened.
Great shots, but I don't think it would go over in My Muskoka ! Too many of us are over age 50 and value our pensions!!!
We took our son and his friend to Canada for hisw seventeenth birth so they could bungee jump. The friend jumped right away. Our son teetered on the edge, and I thought, Oh, he can't do it. But then he did. When we were able to talk to him, he said it was wonderful, the most freeing thing he had even done.
It's on Ranney's bucket list.
Not me. I'm doing well to drive across a bridge, much less jump off of it attached to a big rubber band.
Such bravery! I fear I am way too cautious. Great photos!
Looks like a rush! I think I'd rather watch though and take photos. You certainly took some good ones!
That's one action we missed to watch when we were in Taupo's Bungy Jumping Place. Our boys, three of them did not dare.
So I bought with me a postcard. I still have to find time in posting it.
Oh, thanks for the visit in my main blog. We think alike in respect to gargantuan church buildings against the impoverish and suffering people.
