Cotton Ball Sky

Some cotton balls appeared in our usually gray skies a few days ago.
And some leaves on the birch tree.
Wait! Those aren't leaves, they're birds waiting their turn to attack the feeder.
See more beautiful skies at Sky Watch Friday, hosted for us by Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and Sylvia.

Pretty sky you have out in the valley. We haven't seen the blue of the sky in days :)

The clouds look like a cozy crocheted blanket and I adore those living ornaments in the tree.

Talk about a load of cottonballs - you won't need to purchase any for applying makeup. Great shots.

Looks like you stacked the cotton just for the photo, Martha - did you also invite the birds?

Providing depth to the sky, beautiful clouds.
Hope your weather isn't too cold and that one has enough cotton close by.
A wonderful Friday for all of you.

I love the cotton balls but the leaves made me laugh.

I captured some cotton ball clouds this past summer with my camera! I was beginning to think you needed new glasses as I could see the birds. . . lol I had to re-read that about the leaves in selective places. . . lol

Those cotton balls are larger than what I have! the birds are really camouflaged as leaves. Great patience taking the photos.

P.S. We have storm watch tonight with winds at 30 mph.

Love the birdies... So nice of them to pose in the tree for you like that ;o)
My feeder's been quiet these days... Wonder what's up? I hope nothing "big" spoofed them!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Those fluffy cotton ball clouds sure beat the grey. The birds look like ornaments.

As you well know, I'm a sucker for trees-against-the-sky shots. These are great. The birds look like the cedar waxwings that were gathered in the trees around here the other day. In winter they like to flock together and poop all over your lawn furniture. Have a great weekend, Martha.
