Evening Moab Sky

We had some free time in Moab and took a walk just as the sun was setting.
The golden light was captured by the highest of the red rocks.
The clouds were white cobblestones on a blue highway.
Kokopeli rushed to take one last ride.

Find more skies from around the world at SkyWatch Friday,  hosted for us by Klaus, Sandy, Wren and Sylvia.

Beautiful evening -- Kokopeli is perfect there isn't he?

I was curious if you had free time built in to the tour -- that would be a necessity for us.

Wonderful sculpture in the third photo, Martha. And the light in the first photo is exquisite.

Some queries:
Is that stone structure in your header manmade or natural?
I keep on meaning to ask. It looks like a Giants' rubric cube :-)

And what is that fabulous sculpture on the bike?

Those granite boulders are along our favorite path through our community. They intrigue me and I have taken many photographs of it, this is my favorite.
The sculpture is of Kokopeli, a southwest native American demi-god. It is a popular motif in the southwest and this was on a side street in Moab.

I really love that second shot, Martha. So unusual and such great color. I believe that you don't live too far from my grandchildren (they are in Wheatland), so I always think of them looking at the same skies when I see your photos.

Bautiful pictures! The second one was amazing :)

Hi there - like the way the light catches the rocks in the first picture. So many of these types of shot could only be made in the few minutes when the light does that sort of thing - here one minute, gone the next.

Splendid picture.

Great pics, amazing clouds, beautiful skies...
'Kokopeli' if you translate that into Finnish it's 'the whole game' :)
