Heron Takes Flight

We spotted this heron on one of our recent walks.
He didn't like us watching him and took off across the pond
I like the look of the water in these and of course, I like the heron.
Its feathers are so beautiful.
He seemed happier across the pond.
You can find more watery sites here.
Watery Wednesday is hosted by 2sweetnsaxy.

Quite wonderful, Martha - I especially like the shot of it flying across the water with its reflection showing. Looks like a fine place to walk.

Herons are not easy to catch with a camera. Very well done!

Love the flight of the heron(second shot), it is camouflaged among the branches!

There is one place I want to do bird photography, the Ballona Creek near Marina del Rey.

We see quite a few of them here also. They are so majestic. I have seen them catch and eat a fish a couple of times. It's pretty neat.
