This lift bridge is a temporary structure while the beautiful "Bridge of Lions" in St. Augustine Florida is being reconstructed. The five year project is due to be completed next year.
We visited St Augustine in 2006, a great place for photographers.
See more interesting shadows at Hey Harriet.

Hi Martha,
I'm going to FL (Sarasota)in Feb.for a wedding. A couple years ago, our niece got married in St Augustine. Your Fl pics are starting to make me think of warmer climes.
Great shadow! Isn't it amazing the work it is to create a "temporary" bridge before the original project can begin...that is mind boggling to me. I love Florida! In fact, I am wanting to visit again so soon...St. Augustine would definitely be on my destination list!
Great shadow!

Nice shadow shot on the bridge. St Augustine is an interesting town to visit.
Terrific shadow shot, Martha! Lovely skies, too! I enjoyed St. Augustine, too, although it has been a while ago!
Have a great weekend!

The view overall os workmanlike. Yet the shadows are artistic lines and angles that soften the construction and stark structure. Sitting under a nice Florida sky, the man-made bridge looking just right here!
Wonderful shadows on this temporary bridge! Hope you're having a lovely weekend.
Hugs and blessings,
My Shadow Shots
The lift bridge is industrial looking while the sunlight, shadows and walker add warmth and charm to the scene.
Being an Engineer, this photography was for sure of interest. Being a dreamer, living about 3,000 miles from home, allow me to express my hope that this bridge will be able to connect many happy people for a long time to come.
Please have a nice Sunday.
That is Awesome, at first I thought it was a pic of a postcard.
Very Cool.
Have a great ShadowShotSunday

Happy holidays!

Some temporary bridge - looks pretty permanent to me. The actual bridge will be well worth waiting for.
looks like a long walk
I love St. Augustine, so many wonderful historic homes and buildings, but then again, I love anything Florida and could easily take up permanent residence there again.
Have a happy holiday!
super shadows!!
Nice!
What a grand bridge.
My first time participating
If I cross the bridge,
where will the shadows lead me?
One way to find out…
